A Showcase of Substance: The First Quintessential Partner Event in Exeter

Design, Detail & A Dash of Drama

On Tuesday 28th January 2025, beneath the soft glow of stormy Devon skies, something rather extraordinary happened inside the walls of System Six Kitchens in Exeter.

Designers, retailers, and long-standing collaborators gathered for the first ever Quintessential Showcase — an intimate and insightful afternoon unveiling the Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen Quintessential Kitchen Collection.

In true Quintessential fashion, this wasn’t just a kitchen launch. It was a love letter to craftsmanship, collaboration and character-led interiors. At its centre? A range that is unapologetically bold, meticulously tailored and deeply rooted in British design heritage — led, of course, by Laurence himself.

A Grand Introduction: Laurence Takes the Floor

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen took to the floor with his trademark theatrical flair — part raconteur, part design evangelist — welcoming guests with a candid introduction to the inspiration behind the Quintessential range. His opening remarks were met with smiles, note-taking and more than a few goosebumps.

“The Quintessential range isn’t just about kitchens,” said Laurence. “It’s about character. It’s about courage. It’s about allowing people to design rooms that say something. Rooms that frame memories.”

From the gilded panelling of Albany to the opulent palette of Cuisine and the glitter-ball irreverence of Kitchen Disco, Laurence brought the vision to life — as only he can — weaving narrative and nuance into every cabinet and cornice.

Inside the Showcase: A Walkthrough of Craft and Capability

Guests were treated to a full tour of the System Six showroom, where each of the key Quintessential displays had been lovingly dressed to highlight the range’s adaptability, elegance and eccentricity.

Beyond the showroom, visitors explored the System Six factory — a rare behind-the-scenes look at the advanced manufacturing processes and skilled craftsmanship that underpin every Quintessential piece. It was a valuable moment of transparency and trust, where engineering met artistry.

Detail in the Data: Tools for the Trade

The event also included a deep dive into the business backbone of the brand: SKU overviews, hardware decisions, pricing architecture, and marketing roadmap.

From the evolving brochure design to a preview of the Ideal Home Show activation, the room was shown how strategy meets style — and how the coming months will prioritise showroom growth, Gold Accreditation benefits, and joined-up marketing support for partners.

Food, Friendship, and Future Plans

Over lunch and refreshments, conversations flourished — from sourcing stories to sales strategies — and a genuine sense of momentum filled the room.

We were thrilled to welcome showroom partners Imaggio, iDesign, Dream Kitchens, and System Six themselves, whose continued support and feedback are shaping this brand as it grows.

Thank You, From All of Us

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended — your presence, passion, and questions made the event what it was. Thank you to Laurence for being the heart of the brand. Thank you to the System Six team for your hospitality and dedication to excellence.

This was only the beginning.

With 20 showroom partners targeted by the end of 2025, and our second phase of marketing and showroom onboarding now underway, Quintessential is already becoming one of the most characterful, considered kitchen ranges in the UK.
