A Quintessential Affair: Our Standout Moments at the Ideal Home Show 2025

Setting the Stage for Something Spectacular

As the curtain draws on this year’s Ideal Home Show, we’re reflecting on what has been an unforgettable debut for Quintessential Kitchens. Stand H375 wasn’t just a destination — it became a design pilgrimage, drawing style seekers and kitchen lovers alike into a world of layered luxury, striking silhouettes, and unapologetic self-expression.

From bold cabinetry in regency greens to the opulent glint of gold-veined marble, the response from visitors was nothing short of electric. One thing was evident throughout the show’s bustling halls — this was no ordinary kitchen launch.

Laurence Takes the Lead

At the centre of the buzz was, of course, our visionary creative partner — Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen. True to form, Laurence captivated crowds with his wit and wisdom, delighting audiences with his thoughts on personality-led design and the absolute joy of living gloriously at home.

In his words:

“The Quintessential Kitchen is not just a culinary backdrop — it’s a declaration of character. A space to showcase your taste, treasures, and tea towel collection. It’s about turning the everyday into the extraordinary — fabulously, fearlessly and fabulously again.”

Laurence’s iconic splash back oil painting, proudly on show behind the Albany range, became one of the most-photographed features of the event. Visitors lingered, admired, and asked the kind of thoughtful, enthusiastic questions that made the whole experience feel personal and purposeful.

Design Details That Delighted

The Albany kitchen collection, resplendent in rich green tones, ornate cornicing, and brushed gold hardware, became the star of our showcase. Perfectly paired with Laurence’s floral soft furnishings, Galerie Home’s exquisite wallpaper, and Harvey Maria’s heritage flooring in navy, charcoal and taupe — the entire set felt less like a stand, and more like stepping into someone’s dream home.

The pièce de résistance? The stunning green partition shutters from our friends at @shutterlyfabulous — a perfectly punctuated moment of architectural drama that framed the kitchen with flair.

A Standing Ovation for Our Partners

We are genuinely grateful to the creative collaborators and licensees who helped bring the House of Laurence to life. The entire space celebrated colour, craftsmanship, and collaboration, from the tactile textures of @harveymaria flooring to the dramatic elegance of @galeriehome wallpapers.
